The initial phone call: When you call our office our cheerful staff will ask you what your particular needs and desires are for your outdoor project. Cindy will then schedule an appointment with the proper person, normally within a week. The First Appointment: At your first appointment a member of our staff will come to the job site, be it at your residence or place of business, and chat about your ideas for your project. He will then give you his own suggestions on his vision. We will provide addresses and references to let you see our previous work in person so you can see our quality work for yourself.
The Second Appointment: At the second appointment, our staff member will show you his custom hand drawn design. He will have pictures and samples of plant, brick, water feature and stone materials. He will walk you around the job site explaining why he has chosen certain designs and materials. Based on your discussion, our specialist will be able to finalize your plan to merge his design and your wants and needs to make your property the best it can be. A contract is signed and an initial deposit is collected to confirm a spot on our schedule.
Bringing it all together
If you have chosen custom brick or stonework, it will be installed first. The color and texture of the brick or stone are up to you. Our friendly staff member will bring out samples or send you to different jobs or suppliers to make sure you are positive about the style and color of the brick before it is installed.
On the first day, landscape materials will be delivered to your home. The foreman will roughly place the plant materials so you will have an idea where they will be planted. This is the time for you to make any adjustments. Sometimes the process of moving a tree or shrub just a few inches will block a particular window or neighbor.
Next, we will have the sprinkler system installed and explained to you. The top quality systems that we install have timers and are set initially by experienced personnel. You will need to hand water some of the plant materials at first to make sure that they take root properly. Especially during the hot summer months, plants will take more care than a sprinkler system upon the initial install.
West Oaks will come back and finish the project by installing the bark and any additional decorative features that you have chosen. They will make sure that the site is clean and orderly. When West Oaks Landscape & Design, Inc. installs a new landscape, we want you to feel like it is an extension of your home or business. We know a job is done properly when it genuinely increases the value of your property.
Lastly, you will be paid a final visit by Jim, the owner of West Oaks. He will go over your landscape and give you final instructions on how to take care of your landscape, brickwork, pond or waterfall. If you have any questions in the future, you are always welcome to call our office and speak to our experienced staff.
